Moo Shu Pork (木须肉) is one of those traditional Chinese cuisines which has been localized around the world.This shredded egg pieces in this cuisine resemble the Osmanthus 桂花, and hence how it gets the name. Moo Shu Pork is originated from Shandong, which is prepared with eggs, pork, wood ear fungus, and also included bamboo shoots. When it starts to get populated at Beijing, chefs find that it is hard to get bamboo shoots, and therefore begins to substitute it with dried lily flowers and cucumbers.

Thank you Masterchef Zhang for showing us, the commoners, how to keep and preserve the great tradition of Chinese cooking at its best. It gives our retired lives new meaning and drive trying to make one of your dishes at least once per week. While we do not have any of your knife skills or culinary experience, it sure enriches every Chinese family's life and knowldge of one of our greatest contributions to the world's cultural richness. Your cooking videos should be preserved somewhere in some library of the world's greatest videos of such things and made for compulsory watching in our early education maybe before the age of 8. Have you ever thought of doing somethig like that to encourage the expanding the interest of Chinese cooking globally, and help in the path of g;obal peac and harmony acting as a bridge of friendship between races of huge divides in terms of culture and history? I would definitely be the first to vote for you in that position for the Chinese ambassador in that regard! Good luck!!
